The American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers at U of I is a student branch of the professional ASABE organization. We hold monthly meetings during the semester and have food and a speaker at each one. Some of the speakers we have had are from the Study Abroad Office, Waterborne Environmental, ADM, Career Services, and the Central Illinois Chapter of ASABE. In addition to monthly meetings, we also have social events such as bar crawls, happy hours, and trips to Curtis Orchard. Our main fundraisers include Football Concessions in the fall and Lawnmower Summarization in the Spring. Each summer, the club send representatives to ASABE’s Annual International Meeting. For many years, we have participated in Fountain Wars and the AEM Report Competition. This past summer in Florida, our club won the AEM Report Competition!
