President – Claire Stelter 

Claire is a Junior studying  Human Development and Family Studies. She grew up in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. Having one pet- a dog named Charlie! She spends her time as President of Human Interest Professionals Club; Director of Event Fundraising for IlliniThon benefitting Children’s Miracle Hospitals. “My favorite thing about ACES is how close everyone is, and how every single ACES student has a heart to help others and serve our communities.” Her favorite part of champaign-urbana is the community, “How you can always meet new people, wherever you go!”



Vice President – Internal – Thomas Poole 


Thomas Poole is a sophomore studying Crop Sciences with a concentration in Crop Agribusiness. He grew up on the Southside of Chicago in the Village of Beverly. having two dogs growing up and multiple pet goldfishes. Apart from serving as the Council’s Vice President Internal, I take pride in participating in other activities in the College of ACES. In relation to my department, Department of Crop Sciences, I’m a member of the Field & Furrow Club and served as the Fund Raising Chair for 2015. I currently serve as a student ambassador for the department. I enjoy interacting with the college’s diverse student population. Therefore, I have been serving as a student ambassador for the RSO, ACES Without Borders for the third consecutive semester. I am also a member of MANRRS which stands for Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Related Sciences. “It’s always amazing to see the outreach our college has on the domestic and international level. From providing agricultural education in Chicago to reducing post-harvest loss in rural India, the “I” has a global standard. Our work truly progresses the quality of life. This inspires me to hail to the orange and blue even more!” Tom enjoys the scenery of champaign-urbana, “C-U has a unique situation to it. There are multiple places to explore which I enjoy. One day I am hiking through the forest and gardens on Lincoln Ave. and riding my bike through downtown Champaign the next. There is more than meets the eye in these twin cities!”



Vice President – External – Hannah Donoho

Hannah Donoho is a Junior studying Crop Science. She grew up in Mahomet and Havana Illinois and has pet bunnies and cats.  Hannah is also involved in Field and Furrow Club, Sigma Alpha Professional Agriculture Sorority and Crop Sciences Student Ambassadors. Hannah’s favorite thing about the college of ACES is the close knit feeling. Also, her favorite part of champaign-urbana is the diversity and agricultural aspects, “I love how it is a large, diverse town, that is part of a county that is a major agricultural producer.”

Secretary – Sarah Sellars

Sarah is currently a Junior Studying Agriculture and Consumer Economics with a concentration in farm management. She is from a small town, Winchester Illinois, and has two cats and a dog.  Sarah also spends her time with the Collegiate Farm Bureau, Sigma Alpha, ACE Club and Alpha Zeta. Her favorite thing about ACES college is the close-knit feel of the college! “Also, the professors are really great and always willing to help.” She says her favorite thing about champaign-urbana is the restaurant scene and shopping! “I love all the great restaurants and stores in Champaign-Urbana, especially on campus!



Treasurer – Thomas Justison

Tommy Justison is a Freshman studying  Agriculture & Consumer Economics-Markets and Management. He is planning on applying to COB for secondary major in Finance. He grew up in South Central Illinois in the small farming community of Hillsboro. “I live on a third-generation family farm producing row crops such as corn, soy, and wheat. I grew up with Black Angus cattle, a donkey, llamas, and Tennessee fainting goats as my pets.” He is currently serving the Illinois Student Senate as the Vice Chair of the Financial Affairs committee. I have also been very fortunate to represent the CFFA/PAS chapter as the recruitment chair. I am a member of the Collegiate Farm Bureau and Financial Planning Club. I am working to get more involved in the AG Ed club, MANRRS, and ACE club. I also serve as the Vice President of Operations for Phi Beta Lambda Business Organization. Tommy loves the diversity within the college of ACES, “I admire that although we are a very diverse college with many avenues to pursue, we still hold a feeling of ‘family’ within the college. We are a college that appreciates our diversity and brings our different backgrounds together into a family of multifaceted and talented individuals.” His favorite thing about champaign-urbana is; “I truly enjoy the diversity of this university. Coming from a small agrarian community, I was raised in a monocultural society. I have been able to meet individuals with backgrounds completely contrary to my own, and it allows me to understand and appreciate the complexity of our state and country. I have been able to learn many new things that allow me to better achieve my own goals and serve others.”


Reporter – Natalie Ferris 



Natalie is a Senior studying Horticulture with a concentration in specialty crops. She grew up in Golden Valley, Minnesota with dogs, cats, birds, lizards, snakes, mice, hamsters, chickens and ducks. She spent summers participating in in 4H and sailing camps. She is also the head grower of horticulture club and races on the illinois sallying  team and plays on the illimi women’s hockey team. Her favorite thing about ACES college is the staff and community that is very supporting and motivating. Her favorite thing about champaign-urbana is music and scene. ” There are some great musicians that come through this town.”
